My upbringing an amalgamation of traditional and modern Indias: Priyanka Chopra

Bollywood superstar and Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas says her upbringing is the major contributing factor for what she has achieved today.

Priyanka further claimed that the mixed culture of traditional and modern India played a crucial role in shaping her character.

"I am a product of traditional India and its ancient wisdom, and modern India and its urban bustle. My upbringing was always an amalgamation of the two Indias and, just as much, of East and West," she said.

Talking about the upcoming Fashion Awards 2020, Priyanka said: "This year, the awards will be fully digital and celebrate those who have led change within the fashion industry. It's been a challenging time for everyone and I think having a moment to recognise all the people and organisations who played a significant role in moving the environmental and social agenda forward is extremely important."

The actress is gearing up for her upcoming Netflix release The White Tiger along with Rajkummar Rao, and Robert Rodriguez's superhero film We Can Be Heroes.

Priyanka's memoir, Unfinished: A Memoir, is all set to release in January 2021.
