It is LuckyChap and Fennell's third film, on top of the hit 2020 offering 'Promising Young Woman' (which gave Fennell an Oscar for best original screenplay) and 2023's 'Saltburn'.

Fennell also appeared in LuckyChap's $1.4 billion-grossing Oscar-winning 'Barbie' film, which Robbie produced and starred in last year, according to 'Variety'.

The adaptation of Wuthering Heights' is in pre-production. The film is expected to begin shooting next year in the U.K. Fennell announced last July that she wanted 'Wuthering Heights' to be her third feature film as she took to the announcement to social media with a graphic in which is written this quote from the book, "Be with me always. Take any form. Drive me mad".

The only known detail about the project at the time was that she would be re-teaming with MRC, the studio behind her saucy psychological thriller 'Saltburn'.

With Robbie, Elordi, and LuckyChap in tow, most of the integral cogs that made up the backbone of 'Saltburn' are formally reunited for the new film. And if Fennell wanted to bring one more from that list on board, that would be a welcome addition : Barry Keoghan, who portrayed the bathwater-slurping con man protagonist of Saltburn, recently said he was interested.

He said in 'Variety', "Anything that Emerald puts her hands on, I'm there. She's incredible." Robbie was also vociferous in extolling Fennell's individualistic sensibilities after producing both the director's films. "Emerald immerses you into a world so quickly. She's so masterful at tone and plot," Robbie said about 'Saltburn's' more shocking scenes.
