Actress and singer Lindsay Lohan, popular for movies like Freaky Friday, Machete, and Scary Movie 5, has just wrapped up shooting for her newest film, Freakier Friday.
Recently, Lohan posted a picture on her Instagram where she is cycling; in the background, there is a crew harnessed in a safety vest.
She wrote in her post, "That's a wrap on FREAKIER FRIDAY! I want to extend huge thanks to this incredible cast, crew, producers, and to everyone at @disneystudios who poured so much love and effort into this project! Can't wait to share it with all of you!"
Freakier Friday is an American fantasy comedy that serves as a direct sequel to the original Freaky Friday, which was adapted from Mary Rodgers' 1972 novel of the same name. Directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Jordan Weiss, the film features the Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis opposite Lohan.
In the original Freaky Friday, Lohan's character was actually supposed to be goth, but the actress thought that no one in the audience would be able to relate to that, so she clothed herself in preppy attire for the audition, which brought about the rewriting of her character into a grunging, alt-rock teenager.
Lohan and Curtis recently sat down with *Entertainment Tonight* to talk about the film, where Curtis teased that this time around, it will truly be "freakier." Lohan added, "I'm a mom now from a teenager," to which Curtis quipped, "That makes me a grandmother." Lohan went on to hint that there were going to be many character switches in the movie.
The official title was revealed as recently as this month during the 2024 D23 Expo by Curtis and Lohan. Curtis also spoke about a few cool cameos, remembering how Chad Michael Murray came into the scene, leaving all the women at the table in shock. *Freakier Friday* is also starring Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky, Lucille Soong, Rosalind Chao, Julia Butters, and Manny Jacinto.
