Kylie Jenner's Entrepreneurial Journey: Navigating the Challenges of Launching a Makeup Empire

Reflecting on the journey, Kylie shared with Interview magazine, "Proving people wrong was a challenge, but so was building it from the ground up. It was me and my mom and we never made a make-up line. We didn't know where to start. We didn't have anyone helping us. And my mom thought I was going to be stuck with lip kits in my garage for the rest of my life."

Reality TV sensation and makeup tycoon, Kylie Jenner, is basking in the triumph of proving her skeptics wrong with the soaring success of her cosmetics empire. Despite initial caution from her mother, Kris Jenner, who doubted the potential success of Kylie's venture, the 26-year-old entrepreneur has defied expectations.

Recalling the early stages, Kylie revealed the daunting task of launching her brand. "I think we ordered 5,000 of each color; that was the minimum. And she was like, 'You better be ready, Kylie, because you might have a lot of lip kits in your garage for the rest of your life, so you better love these colours'."

While the inception of her business posed initial challenges, Kylie embraced the difficulties encountered in growing her company. Facing the hurdle of establishing the brand, Kylie, who kickstarted her venture in 2014, acknowledged, "Then it broke in two seconds, and that's when we were like, 'Okay, how do we do this? How do we make these faster and better?'"

Undeterred by setbacks, Kylie and her mother embarked on a journey across California, tirelessly visiting various factories to secure the best manufacturing solutions. The process was no walk in the park for the new company, as growth unfolded under the watchful eyes of the public. Despite the pressure and limited room for error, Kylie emphasized, "It wasn't a bad thing. It was so successful and it was the best time of my life."
