Justin Bieber, singer-songwriter, is speaking out about being real and keeping it real, and how his changing to "please people" affects him negatively.
The 31-year-old Grammy Award winner posted a video on Instagram, in which he can be found enthusiastically jamming on a keyboard with a team of musicians, exuding happy energy. In the caption, he said, "I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic." He went on, "Then I remember we're all made to feel like we're not enough, but I still hate when I change myself to please people."
Earlier in the day, the *Believe* artist also posted a more introspective thought, sharing his plan to work on his "anger issues." "I got anger issues too, but I wanna grow and not react so much smh (shaking my head)," he posted, along with three photos: one of him half-hidden behind a hoodie, one from his childhood, and a third of his son, Jack Blues, who was born in August 2024.
This entry is one of a series of Justin's using social media to communicate his wish for personal development. On March 13, he posted another open message, stating, "People told me my whole life 'wow Justin you deserve that,' but I personally have always felt unworthy. Like I was a fraud. Like when people told me I deserved something, it made me feel sneaky, like, damn if only they knew my thoughts."
He went on to say, "How judgmental I am, how selfish I actually am, they wouldn't be telling me this. I say all of this to say, if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I certainly feel unqualified and unequipped most days."
