Renowned actress Judi Dench, known for her iconic role as "M" in the James Bond franchise, took a stroll down memory lane as she reminisced about her first encounter with the charming Pierce Brosnan on the set of 'GoldenEye' in 1995.
Dench, who portrayed the Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service, fondly recalled Brosnan's debut as James Bond, describing him as "adorable" and "absolutely glorious" to work with. She couldn't help but be captivated by his good looks when they first met, playfully exclaiming, "Be still, beating heart!"
Both Dench and Brosnan experienced jitters on their inaugural day of filming, despite Brosnan assuming the iconic role of Bond. Dench humorously recounted an amusing encounter between her daughter, Finty, and Brosnan on set, likening it to a comical cartoon scene.
Unlike her experiences on stage, where she relished being immersed in the theatrical magic, Dench found filming the Bond movies to be a different affair. Restricted to shooting her scenes, she missed the sense of camaraderie and excitement that comes with witnessing the entire production unfold live on stage.
