She highlighted the time constraints, mentioning that babies were allowed on set for only 20 minutes before needing to be taken off. This limitation required the cast and crew to adapt quickly to capture the needed scenes. Comer shared the complexities of working with babies, describing how genuine moments with the infants had to be recreated with dolls in some instances.
Additionally, the challenging terrains, such as those in Scotland where the film was shot, presented obstacles for incorporating babies into certain scenes. Despite the difficulties, Comer expressed that some of the most beautiful moments in the film involve the baby character, providing a unique perspective on the story.
