Court documents filed in the Superior Court of California on Tuesday confirm that Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have successfully resolved their divorce, following Bonet's filing for divorce on Monday. The Aquaman star, 44, and The Cosby Show alum, 56, seemingly reached an agreement on the terms before the official filing.
The Marital Settlement Agreement (MSA) indicates that both parties are satisfied with the disclosures provided, expressing sufficient knowledge about the terms, asset values, and incomes. Married on Oct. 7, 2017, the couple shares two children: 16-year-old daughter Lola and 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf. Bonet is also the mother of actress Zoë Kravitz with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
As per the MSA, joint legal custody of the minor children has been awarded to both parents, who will equally share responsibility for their health, education, and welfare. There is currently no child support agreement, and the couple will share living expenses for their children, with the responsible party covering expenses during trips with the kids.
The MSA also notes that Momoa and Bonet have waived the right to seek spousal support from each other, and this waiver is permanent and final, with no court having jurisdiction to award spousal support in the future. While the marriage is officially ended, legal single status will be declared on July 9, 2024.
In Bonet's divorce filing, she cited irreconcilable differences and listed the date of separation as Oct. 7, 2020. Two years ago, when announcing their separation, the couple emphasized the impact of transformational times, stating that "a revolution is unfolding." They expressed their commitment to navigating their lives with dignity and honesty, acknowledging the evolving nature of their love and the unwavering devotion to their children.
