Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu: All you need to know about Miss Universe 2021

India's Harnaaz Sandhu won the Miss Universe 2021 title. This international pageant was held in Eilat, Israel, where 81 delegates from around the globe participated. Andrea Meza, who won Miss Universe 2020, crowned Harnaaz Sandhu. The event also honoured two runner-ups, Miss Paraguay 2021 Nadia Ferreira, was declared first runner-up, Miss Universe South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswan, became second runner-up. 1. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu belongs to the city of Chandigarh.

2. Indian model Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu had previously been crowned Miss Diva 2021.

3. Harnaaz is the third Indian woman to hold the title of Miss Universe. Prior to her were Sushmita sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.

4. She has participated in several beauty pageants and has won titles such as Miss Chandigarh 2017, Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018, Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 and was even placed in the Top 12 at Femina Miss India 2019.

5. Ms Sandhu is an actress as well  and has worked in Punjabi films like "Yaara Diyan Poo Baran" and "Bai Ji Kuttange".

When Questioned "What advice would you give to young women watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today", the 21-year-old said,  "The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing, is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let's talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. You are the voice of your own. I believed in myself and that is why I am standing here today."

7. Ms Sandhu is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Public Administration.
