Exclusive: Kartik Aaryan Secures Spot in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, Remaining Cast Still Under Consideration

The successful release of 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' in 2022, directed by Anees Bazmee, was a sequel to Akshay Kumar's 2007 film. In the sequel, Kartik played the role of Rooh Baba, with Tabu in dual roles.

Pre-production for the third installment of the horror-comedy franchise, 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa,' is currently in progress. While initial reports suggested that acclaimed actress Tabu had walked out of the film, recent information indicates that only Kartik Aaryan's name has been finalized for the cast.

A well-placed source revealed that the casting process will proceed once the script is finalized. The source clarified, “The only actor to be confirmed is Kartik Aryan as Rooh Baba, and no other actor has been confirmed as of yet.”

Contrary to earlier reports suggesting Tabu's reluctance to take up the role, the source explained, “After finalizing the story, they will be getting actors on board as the script demands. Currently, a few names of actors are doing rounds which are not confirmed, as we are yet to zero down on actors.”

'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' marked a significant commercial success and contributed to Kartik's rising stardom.

Kartik Aaryan's recent film, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha,' was a box office hit. His upcoming projects include Kabir Khan's biographical film 'Chandu Champion' and a film with Karan Johar, directed by Sandeep Modi, expected to start filming in 2024.

As for Tabu, her last appearance was in Vishal Bhardwaj's espionage thriller 'Khufiya.' She is set to star in 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' alongside Ajay Devgn and 'The Crew' alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon.
