Emma Stone to be replaced by Margot Robbie in "Babylon"

The screenplay for the movie by Paramount Pictures is being penned by Chazelle and it is set in the 1920s during the film industry's transition from silent films to talkies.

Oscar Winner Emma Stone has left Damian Chazelle's upcoming project 'Babylon' and Margot Robbie is in talks to take up her role.

Emma couldn't sign the movie because of scheduling issues and if the negotiations with Margot Robbie work, she will reunite with Brad Pitt after they worked together in Quentin Tarantino's 'Once upon a time in Hollywood'.

Brad will play the role of a fictional silent movie star who fails to adapt to the new technology, rumoured to be based on real-life figure John Gilbert. Margot is expected to take up the role of Clara Bow, the early sex symbol and box office star of the movie industry.
