Amitabh said, "I always used to wonder ki shooters kyun itni der baithhe rehte hain shot le kar bhi. Until Abhishek Bachchan explained that they were controlling their breathing and heartbeats; that's why they are taking their time.

On techniques, Manu said, "At the base, much like everything else, one needs a very strong foundation. People think shooting is very easy, you just take up the pistol and aim, whereas it is far more complicated than that. In a competition, the heart rate goes up, and one needs to remain calm under stress, if not anxious."

That anxiousness or nervousness is not easy to control; it takes time and practice. I am terribly dependent on yoga, Surya Namaskar, and meditation for concentration. It is out of the strict discipline that I follow these."

She also shared that she follows a "4:8 ratio: inhaling for four seconds, exhaling for eight seconds" breathing technique.

Mastering this through practice normalizes my heart rate. During matches, this exercise will help in keeping calm and focused when your nerves make your hands shake while aiming.
