Looks like quitting the 'James Bond' franchise has struck actor Daniel Craig where it hurts. The actor emerged unrecognizable as he arrived in Venice with wife Rachel Weisz.
Daniel flaunted his locks long as he made his way to the Venice Film Festival, wading through Marco Polo airport to make it to the city, reports Mirror.co.uk.
He has ditched his smooth cropped quiff for a shaggy shoulder-length cut. Rami unveiled the new look as he filmed scenes for his latest movie, 'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery', which will be released next year.
The rest of his attire was casual as he approached the fashion city according to Mirror.co.uk in a white t-shirt and jeans. Meanwhile, Rachel looked every bit the chic, in her black dress and oversized sunglasses.
He also has another film, 'Queer, ' set to release on September 3. The movie is adapted from the semiautobiographical novella. Daniel plays the role of an expatriate war veteran, William Lee, who begins a love affair with a younger man, a drug addict, and an ex-Navy serviceman, Eugene Allerton, played by Drew Starkey.
One much-discussed scene sees Craig give oral sex to Allerton, but apparently, he is headed for an Oscar nomination, as the boss of the Venice Film Festival Alberto Barbera says she believes it is "the performance of a lifetime."
Daniel recently shot scenes reprising Benoit for the 'Knives Out' franchise, starring Mila Kunis and Josh O'Connor. During June, the film's director Rian Johnson informed through his social media handle that filming just began on the third installment.
He captioned, "Aaaaand we're off! Today is day 1 of shooting on the next Benoit Blanc mystery Wake Up Dead Man — see you on the other side," along with a black and white picture of himself in a three-piece suit.
His long hair sent many fans into a frenzy as several flooded the comment section to express themselves. One wrote, "The knives out movies are gonna be like Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise alternating between long and short hair. I dig it. Rian, who is that man and where is Benny."
