Channing Tatum roped in as lead for a monster movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, described as "modern day, tongue in cheek thriller", the movie is inspired by Universal's classic monster features.

Hollywood star Channing Tatum is set to play the lead role in a new monster movie by reuniting with makers Phil Lord and Chris Miller .

The screenplay for the movie will be written by Wes Tooke, writer of Colony and Midway, based on an idea from screenwriter Reid Carolin. There are no shooting dates and plot details revealed as of yet. 
Tatum is currently in production for his directorial debut, Dog, which is being headlined and co-directed with Carolin.
