It's official—BTS member Jungkook confirmed his upcoming commencement of compulsory service in South Korea next month, expressing gratitude to fans for their unwavering support as he embarks on this "new journey."

Acknowledging his imminent departure to serve in the military, Jungkook expressed mixed emotions, feeling the weight of the news while cherishing precious moments with the ARMY. He reflected, "Every moment spent with you has illuminated my life."

While refraining from asking fans to "wait" during his service, Jungkook promised a return to his musical endeavors once he's able to. Expressing gratitude for the support received, he shared, "Thank you for being part of my dreams and silently walking alongside me. Though a year and a half seems long, I'm hesitant to ask for your patience."

He assured fans of returning to the stage with a more mature side, emphasizing his anticipation of reuniting and sharing new stories, while urging everyone to stay healthy and well.

Meanwhile, BigHit Music confirmed that BTS members RM, Jimin, and V have also initiated the enlistment process. The statement acknowledged the enlistment preparations and sought continuous love and support for the members during their service period.

Suga commenced his military service in September, following the paths of Jin and J-Hope. The group is anticipated to reunite in 2025 when all seven members have completed their respective enlistments. The company pledged unwavering support for the artists throughout their service.
