The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation, with most of the damage contained to the second floor. Firefighters diligently worked to ensure complete extinguishing, even cutting into the attic eaves as a precautionary measure.

Chief Justin Barnes from the Houston Fire Department praised the swift action of the responders, stating, "They did a great job. I'm going to say in less than 10 minutes, we had a really good grip on this fire."
