Anil Kapoor Emphasizes Uniqueness of Salman Khan in 'Bigg Boss OTT 3' Hosting Role

It's not that I replaced my friend Salman Khan. I am taking up a different responsibility and it is absolutely definite. I want to clarify this," said actor Anil Kapoor, who has stepped into the role of hosting "Bigg Boss OTT 3" after Salman Khan's long stint with the show. Khan has been inseparable with the Colors TV reality show "Bigg Boss" since its fourth season, while Kapoor has come on board to host the third season of its OTT incarnation.

Kapoor, who did "No Entry" and "Race 3" with Khan, said that basically, both are very different in their standing within the industry. Speaking about how the prevalent dynamics of showbiz is all about getting replaced or replacing someone at his given place, Kapoor commented on getting replaced by or replacing other actors in multiple roles. He also spoke about social media attention and comparisons with Khan and said that "Constructive criticism and trolling come with the digital times", which he learned through his 45-year-long career.

While looking ahead, Kapoor mentioned being excited about new formats like "Bigg Boss OTT 3" and the urge to do something new. He assured fair and firm dealing with controversies inside the show and specified that he has always been empirical, yet honest with the contestants.

While talking about the future prospects of the show, Kapoor jokingly named some celebrity contestants like Khan, Kapil Sharma, Karan Johar and even himself with Amitabh Bachchan as the perfect host for it.

"Bigg Boss OTT 3" is all set to go on air on June 21, that will offer proactive features and a live 24-hour channel for a more enriched OTT experience, produced by EndemolShine India under the Banijay Group banner.
