Amber Heard would not be able to pay $10.35 million in damages to Johnny Deep: Amber's lawyer

Speaking with Today, the lawyer of Ms. Heard exhibited her though on the verdict saying, "She was demonized here. A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused. We weren't allowed to tell them about the UK judgement...There are no damages. It stopped at November 2, 2020, which is when the judgement came down in the UK." When asked if Amber is able to pay Johnny the judgment, Elaine replied, "oh no, absolutely not".

Amber Heard’s lawyer Elaine Charlson Bredehoft revealed that the actor was unable to pay Johnny Depp, $10.35 million in damages. After a long trial, the US jury’s verdict in the Amber vs Johnny defamation case fell in the favor of Johnny Deep.

The battle of words came to an end after the seven-person jury found that the serious defamation happened from both Amber and Johnny’s side but sided far more strongly with Johnny. As the result, the Pirates of the Carrebian actor got awarded with $10.35 million in damages, while $2 million awarded to Amber.

The battle between Amber and Johnny started when Depp, sued Heard in an op-ed letter she wrote to The Washington Post in which she described herself as a public figure representing domestic violence. She didn’t manage Johnny’s name anywhere in the letter but the way she described things made clear that she is talking about Deep.

Putting his side out, Depp sued her for implying he was a domestic abuser and sought $50 million in damages. Amber countersued for $100 million, saying she was defamed by statements made by Johnny's lawyer, Adam Waldman.
