Ajay Devgn's 'Raid 2' Set for Theatrical Release on February 21

The filmmakers have announced that Ajay Devgn-starrer "Raid 2" will now hit the theatres on February 21, 2025. The movie is a sequel to the 2018 hit "Raid," which starred Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on November 15.

"Raid 2" will focus on the "unsung heroes of the Income Tax Department" and will be based on a true case from their files. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles.

While Riteish Deshmukh will play the villain in it, the sequel has been directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who had helmed the first part as well.

The film is presented by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under their banners T-Series and Panorama Studios.

The original "Raid", which also starred Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D'Cruz, was inspired by a true-life Income Tax raid happened in the 1980s.

Ajay Devgn's last releases were the period sports drama "Maidaan" and Neeraj Pandey's "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha." He will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again."
