Before "Shaitaan," Ajay Devgn ventured into the horror genre with the 2003 film "Bhoot."
Ajay Devgn, a prominent figure in Bollywood, expressed his fondness for horror and supernatural tales during the trailer launch event of "Shaitaan." He eagerly anticipates returning to the genre after the success of "Bhoot."
Directed by Vikas Bahl, "Shaitaan" promises to be an engaging narrative infused with elements of black magic.
Devgn mentioned his inclination towards horror films and his excitement to delve back into the genre. He emphasized the importance of finding compelling scripts and praised the strength of "Shaitaan's" storyline.
The film features R Madhavan as the antagonist and Jyothika as Devgn's wife. Actor Janki Bodiwala, from the original Gujarati film "Vash," also stars in the remake.
When questioned about potential role swaps, Devgn explained his emotional connection to the character of the father, preferring to portray that role over the antagonist. Madhavan, acknowledging Devgn's generosity, expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
Director Vikas Bahl admitted feeling nervous about exploring the supernatural genre for the first time. Despite the challenges, he embraced the opportunity to expand his storytelling repertoire.
"Shaitaan" is produced by Ajay Devgn Ffilm and Panorama Studios, with Jio Studios also backing the project. Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak hinted at plans for a sequel even before the film's release.
The eagerly awaited "Shaitaan" is set to hit theaters on March 8, promising audiences a thrilling cinematic experience.
