Singer-songwriter Adele-who said she was going away 'for an incredibly long time'-has reportedly turned down a whopping $200 million deal to continue touring.
The 36-year-old 'Rolling in the Deep' singer completed her residency recently in Munich, Germany, reports 'Mirror.co.uk'.
This past Sunday night in London was her last show; she made it clear to the audience that they would not be seeing her anytime soon. The record-breaking artist had taken to the stage and shared with her audience, "I've got 10 shows to do, but after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time and I will hold you dear in my heart".
As reported by 'Mirror.co.uk', Adele is contracted to return to Las Vegas for a run of dates to complete her part-cancelled Caesars Palace residency but will then have no significant plans in the music world for a long while. But that's not all, she reportedly told close friends and family not only will she not be in the limelight for some time, but also she refused a multimillion-dollar offer to extend the tour.
The offer reportedly includes a residency in Macau, China, and another world tour. As recently as this week, one insider was quoted saying, "There have been a lot of offers but she has turned them all down because she wants to be home with her kid".
A source further told Daily Mail: "The Chinese deal put millions of dollars on the table, but she did not want to do it in the end. She's put her kid and boyfriend - and herself - first".
In July last year, Adele sat with the German public service broadcaster ZDF for an interview about her future.
She had said, "I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things. Just for a little while". Adele's relocation to the United States saw her declare a residency at Caesar's Palace Colosseum in Vegas, which was set to begin in January 2022 but was canceled last minute, just the day before the opening.
