Actress Adah Sharma is all set to join the cast of the upcoming second season of 'Sunflower,' alongside Sunil Grover, and has teased her role as "unique and creepy."
Adah expressed her excitement about diving into a comedic role in 'Sunflower,' stating that after her dramatic performance in 'Kerala Story' and action-packed role in 'Commando,' she found the prospect of exploring comedy appealing. She tantalizingly described her character in the series as something she couldn't reveal much about but labeled it as both distinct and unsettling.
Hinting at the centrality of her character in the upcoming season, Adah hinted that the storyline would revolve around her role, signaling a disruptive entrance into the Sunflower society, significantly impacting the lives of its residents.
Besides 'Sunflower,' Adah will also be seen in an international film and 'Bastar,' a project centered around naxalites, created by the same team behind 'The Kerala Story.'
The first season of 'Sunflower,' released in 2021, was a black comedy series directed by Vikas Bahl and featured Sunil Grover in the lead role as Sonu. The show, comprising eight episodes, intricately wove a murder mystery set in a middle-class housing society named Sunflower in Mumbai. The series also boasted a stellar cast including Ranvir Shorey, Girish Kulkarni, Mukul Chadda, Shonali Nagrani, Sonal Jha, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
