UPSC Civil Services 2021 Final Result: Girls grab top four positions, know top 10 rank holders and check merit list here

Shruti Sharma, an alumnus of St. Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University has secured all India Rank 1.  Ankita Agarwal came second, Gamini Singla was the third topper and Aishwarya Verma emerged as the fourth topper. UPSC has recommended names of 685 candidates for appointment. The final result has been published after successful completion of prelims, main and interview rounds.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday declared the final results of UPSC Civil Services exam 2021. Interestingly all top four positions have been secured by female candidates. Candidates can check their result on the official website upsc.gov.in.

UPSC has recommended names of 685 candidates for appointment. These include 244 general, 73 EWS, 203 OBC, 105 SC and 60 ST category candidates. In total 749 vacancies were reported where 180 would be placed in IAS cadre, 37 in IFS, 200 in IPS, 242 in Central Services Group A and 90 in Group B Services. Apart from the recommended, a list of 80 candidates have been provisionally recommended, roll number of whom is also provided in the declared result.

The UPSC Civil Service Examination (CSE) preliminary exam was held on October 10, 2021 and the result for the same was declared on October 29.  The main examination was held from January 7-16, 2022 and the results were released on March 17,2022.  The selection procedure gets completed with the interview that began on April 5 and concluded on May 26.  The final result has been published after successful completion of prelims, main and interview rounds.

Last year, in the UPSC 2020 result, Bihar man Shubham Kumar had secured AIR 1 and became the UPSC topper.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the successful candidates through a tweet.  “Congratulations to all those who have cleared Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2021. My best wishes to these youngsters who are embarking on their administrative careers at an important time of India’s development journey when we’re marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” he said.

Step 2: Now on the homepage go to the link that reads, 'Final Result – Civil Services (Main) Examination 2021 to open the result
