Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed satisfaction on Friday, noting that nearly all states are actively implementing the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Addressing concerns about states appearing reluctant, Pradhan clarified that even those seemingly hesitant are, in fact, incorporating the policy into their education systems, albeit using different terminology. He emphasized the widespread adoption of NEP 2020, describing it as a profound and historic document.
Speaking at the inauguration of IInvenTiv 2024, recognized as the country's largest Research and Development Innovation Fair from Higher Education Institutions, held at IIT-Hyderabad, Pradhan shared his pleasure about the event's expanded scope.
"Pleased to inaugurate #IinvenTiv2024 at IIT Hyderabad. Glad that in the second edition, we have enlarged the scope of this innovation showcase and have taken this event beyond IITs," Pradhan remarked.
He went on to highlight the substantial participation from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the industry, foreseeing that #IinvenTiv is on track to becoming a prominent brand in the technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship sector. The minister's statements underscore the positive trajectory of NEP 2020 implementation and the collaborative efforts toward fostering innovation in the higher education landscape.
