UGC Extends CUET-UG Application Deadline to March 31st

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced an extension of the deadline for online submission of application forms for the CUET-UG until 31st March, with a cutoff time of 9:50 P.M. This decision comes after initially setting the deadline for March 26.

This year, over 200 universities and institutions will consider CUET-UG scores for their undergraduate admissions. This includes 46 Central universities, 36 state universities, 20 Deemed universities, 105 private universities, and 6 government institutions.

Under the mandate of the Ministry of Education and UGC, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted to administer the Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG)-2024) for admissions into undergraduate programs across central universities and other participating entities.

The Chairman highlighted that CUET (UG)-2024 offers a unified platform for students aspiring to join Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations nationwide. The list of universities involved is subject to change, with more institutions expected to join the initiative.

The application process for CUET (UG) – 2024 commenced on February 27, 2024, through the website exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/, and is scheduled to conclude on March 31.

Kumar emphasized the importance of eligible candidates applying for CUET (UG) - 2024 promptly to avoid last-minute inconveniences and ensure a smooth process.
