NEET UG 2022: Exam not postponed, PIB warns against fake notice circulating over internet

In a tweet, PIB fact check called the notice 'fake' and said that the NEET-UG examination will not be postponed. According to the fake notice that is circulating on social media platforms, the exam date of NEET UG 2022 has been postponed from 17th July 2022 to 4th September 2022, following the numerous requests from the students.

The fact check team of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Tuesday alerted students against the fake notice circulating over the internet regarding the postpomement of NEET-UG examination 2022.

According to the fake notice that is circulating on social media platforms, the exam date of NEET UG 2022 has been postponed from 17th July 2022 to 4th September 2022, following the numerous requests from the students.

“A notice is doing rounds on social media claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the NEET (UG) for 4th September 2022 instead of 17th July 2022. The notice is fake,” PIB tweeted.

Citing less time for NEET preparation due to the ongoing CBSE board examination, NEET UG aspirants, as well as their parents, have been demanding the postponement of the undergraduate medical entrance examination.

Recently, India wide parents association wrote a letter to PM Modi requesting him to intervene in the matter and reschedule the NEET UG exam date from July 17. The letter also claimed that lakhs of students have raised their concerns over Twitter and have also written letters to the Education Ministry and NTA requesting the postponement of NEET UG 2022 exam.

However, the registration process for the NEET UG exam is over and the admit cards are expected to be released by the end of June.
