NEET UG 2021: Results to be out soon | All you need to know about the admission process 

The NEET examinations are for students who aspire to take up medical programmes for undergraduate medical studies. The candidates who qualify for the NEET UG 2021 examination will be eligible for further counselling rounds for admissions into top medical institutions.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the window for raising objections on the provisional answer key of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 UG on October 18 and will soon be releasing the results. Any objection raised will be taken up by the authorities into consideration while preparing the final answer key. The final results for NEET-UG 2021 is prepared based on the final answer key. Candidates can download the answer keys from the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.

The counselling will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). All candidates who appeared and cleared the NEET 2021 UG will be qualified for the counselling rounds.

The counselling process will be held in online mode in two rounds which will be followed by a mop-up round. The mop-up round for NEET-UG is conducted after the completion of two counselling rounds for the remaining vacant seats

As per the official guidelines NEET, All India Quota (AIQ) counselling process includes admission to the below mentioned medical and dental colleges and universities :

- 15% seats at All India Quota MBBS/ BDS Seats of States (except Jammu & Kashmir)

- 100% seats at MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU

- 100% seats at MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India

- 100% seats at JIPMER seats (Puducherry/ Karaikal)

- 100% seats at AMU

- 85% seats of State Quota seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental)

- 100% seats at the Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) along with a 5% internal Quota of Jamia students

- 15% seats at IP quota seats of ESIC.

To be eligible for counselling it is necessary to register for the counselling being by DGHS. Candidates can register themselves online when the registration starts after the result declarations. 

It is an important examination for medical aspirant students and it is an umbrella entrance examination acting as an entrance for eligibility to all medical colleges and courses based on the ranking acquired. The examination will include multiple-choice questions on subjects ranging from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
