NEET 2021 Exams: Admit cards issued by NTA | Here's all you need to know

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exams 2021 for undergraduate students is scheduled for September 12. The admit cards for the same has been issued on the official websites of NTA. Admit cards of the registered students can be downloaded from neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET UG are essential examinations for medical aspirant students, the examination acts as an entrance test for all medical colleges and courses combined. The examinations are conducted under the National Testing Agency, wherein NTA is responsible for start to the end of test preparation, delivery and marking. A count of around 355 MBBS and Dental colleges are listed by the Medical Council of India which fall under the sponsorship of NEET.

Admit cards of the registered students can be downloaded from neet.nta.nic.in.The Admit card holds the necessary details regarding the candidate's roll number, the centre for the examination, the address of the centre, timings of the exam, reporting time and other crucial guidelines that are to be followed during the examination.

How to download the admit card:

Step 1 - Open the official NTA NEET site at neet.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on NEET UG Admit Card 2021 link available on the home page.

Step 3: Provide the required login credentials and click on submit.

Step 4: Your admit card will be displayed on the screen and can be downloaded as well.

    Examination Pattern:

Approximately 16 lakh applicants have registered for the exam this year which is going to be pen-paper based. The pattern has undergone a few changes compared to previous years and includes multiple-choice questions on subjects ranging from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. This year's pattern requires aspirants to attempt 10 out of each 15 questions which are carrying 04 marks and a negative marking 01 for each incorrect marked answer. Section A will consist of 140 marks and 35 questions and Section B of 40 marks and 15 questions. However, students can choose to attempt any 10 questions out of these 15 questions.

    Examination Guidelines: 

Apart from acquiring the admit cards and taking a note of the examination pattern, it is crucial to take a note of all examination guidelines for the same. It is a must to collect the print copy of the admit card for the day of examination and carry it along. In addition to this, there are 5 more important guidelines to be kept in mind :

1- The candidates are required to carry one passport size photograph, one coloured postcard-size with white background (4”X6”) and valid ID proof or PwD certificate (if applicable)

2- Candidates will be subjected to extensive frisking and will be checked with highly sensitive metal detectors as per the security norms.

3- A particular dress code for the examinees is also mentioned wherein candidates are requested not to wear light coloured clothes with long sleeves and large buttons. In case someone wishes to appear in cultural/customary dress, they're supposed to report an hour earlier than the mentioned reporting time i.e. 12.30 pm.

4- Restricted item list includes books, bags, Bluetooth, paper notes, paper, NEET year question papers, etc.

5 – Keeping in mind the current covid scenarios, all students will be maintaining the social distancing guidelines that are mentioned in the admit card.
