JEE Advanced 2021: Information brochure released | All you need to know

Only candidates who have cracked the JEE Main exam and are under the 2,50,000 criteria would be eligible for applying in B.E./B.Tech courses. Educational qualification: the candidate is required to have studied Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry up to class XII. They should have cleared the class XII examination in the first or second attempt.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur which is organising the JEE Advanced 2021 has released the information brochure which carries all the information required for the upcoming exam.

Age: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Dates: JEE (Advanced) 2021 was scheduled to be conducted on July 3 but it was postponed in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. New exam dates are yet to be notified yet.

“Due to the prevailing COVID – 19 pandemic-related circumstances in India, the date of JEE (Advanced) 2021, stated in this document, has been postponed. A new date will be announced in due course. As a consequence, the dates for registration, admission, counselling, etc., contained in this document will be revised,” reads the information brochure.

JEE (Advanced) consists of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) of three hours duration each. Appearing in both the papers is compulsory.

Registration is supposed to be done only through an online portal. The process for registration has been provided on the website only.
