Delhi University to resume offline classes from February 17

"The teaching-learning process in the University of Delhi has been continuing in online mode in view of the onset of Covid-19 Pandemic. The students enrolled in the University of Delhi and its colleges belong to all corners of the country and have been residing in their hometown since the teaching-learning process has continued online. It is difficult for the students in different parts of the country to reach Delhi at a short notice in the prevailing pandemic situation

The University of Delhi (DU) will be reopening its gates from February 17, 2022, for offline and/or physical classes. The announcement in this regard was made on Wednesday by Prof. Rajni Abbi, DU Proctor, while he was addressing the protesting ABVP activists. A notification in this regard has been posted on the Official website of DU.

 The outstation students would need to quarantine themselves for three days after reaching Delhi, according to the notification.

"The teaching-learning process in the University of Delhi has been continuing in online mode in view of the onset of Covid-19 Pandemic. The students enrolled in the University of Delhi and its colleges belong to all corners of the country and have been residing in their hometown since the teaching-learning process has continued online. It is difficult for the students in different parts of the country to reach Delhi at a short notice in the prevailing pandemic situation. Appropriate time is required for students to arrange for their travel from their respective hometown to Delhi," the Delhi University said in the official order.

The other facilities in the university/centres/departments, such as libraries/ laboratories and canteens will also start functioning effective immediately on February 17, 2022.

Students are needed to ensure that they are following Covid-19 Protocols and Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, like wearing masks, using sanitizers, regularly washing hands and face, maintain social distancing, etc., at all times as a safety measure to prevent Coronavirus from spreading. Professors, HODs, Principals of colleges, Directors of Institutions/Dean of Faculties, or Provosts of Hostels are to ensure and keep check on teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students to follow all the Covid-19 provisions. They also need to ensure that the rooms, classrooms, hostels, labs and libraries are fully ventilated and sanitized.

Deans of Faculties/ Principals of colleges/ HoDs/Directors of the institution / Provosts of Hostels are to motivate and encourage institution staff and students to get fully vaccinated as soon as possible.
