Centenary Chance Examination: Delhi University extends last date for registration to June 24

The 'centenary' chance examination of DU is a part of its centenary celebrations, through which the University has decided to give a chance to final year drop-outs to complete their degrees. In May, the University announced that those who dropped out of college in the final year can register for a one-time chance to appear in examinations and complete their degree.

The University of Delhi(DU) has extended the last date for registration for the 'centenary' chance examination to June 24, as reported by news agency PTI. According to the previous notice, the last date for the registration was June 15.

"The last date for registration for Centenary Chance Examination is extended up to 24.06.2022 (Friday) by 5:30 pm," Dean of Examination DS Rawat said in a statement.

Delhi University has given orders to its faculties, departments, colleges and centres to complete the confirmation and verification of registration forms filled by such students by June 27, 2022.

According to the data shared by the University's exam branch, of the 1,560 registrations, 1,030 students have filled the form and 720 have paid their fees. The oldest student among all the registrations is from the 1977-1980 batch of ARSD College, who has applied for B Com. Earlier, in a notification, Registrar Vikas Gupta had said the exams will be conducted during October 2022 and March 2023 in a pen and paper mode.

The guidelines also suggest that a student can appear for “maximum up to four papers for annual mode and up to eight papers for semester scheme”.

The examination fee for the centenary chance will be Rs 2,000 per paper.
