CBSE Board Examination 2023: Know all about the exam pattern, sample papers, rationalized syllabus for class 10, 12 exams

In Year 2023, 10th Class exam will contain at least 40% of questions while 12th Class exam will contain at least 30% of questions that will be competency-based and these questions will be containing multiple formats like objective type, constructing response type, assertion, reasoning and case based.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday released the datesheet for the 10th and 12th Board examination. The exams will start from 15th of February and the students can download the datesheet from the official website of CBSE – cbse.gov.in. The board exam will be conducted in single term while there will be some changes in the exam pattern. There are 5 important points you need to know about the CBSE Board Exams 2023:

For the session 2022-2023 the board has released the rationalized syllabus for class 10th and the board has cut down the syllabus by dropping many important topics from social science while the details are available on website of the board.

Examination will be conducted in single term

After a gap of 2 years, now CBSE will be organizing the examination in same pattern as it was during pre-pandemic years. Due to covid 19, the exams were cancelled in the year 2020 and the students were given the marks based on alternate assessment criteria while in 2021, the entire academic year was divided into 2 terms

Practical examination will start from 2nd January

According to the datesheet, the board practical exams will be conducted between 2nd January and 14th of February and schools are required to upload the marks of the students in the same window while for the 12th class practical examination external examiner will be appointed.
