The revised academic calendar for the 2021-22 session has been released by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) on its official website. According to the new calendar, the last day for first-year engineering students to start classes is October 25. However, the classes for the existing engineering students should begin by October 1st.
The procedure of granting approval for technical institutions, freestanding PGDM and PGCM colleges, will be concluded by July 15, according to AICTE. By August 2, existing and new students in standalone PGDM/PGCM colleges will be able to begin classes. The deadline for completing the first round of counselling and admission in order to be assigned a seat in a technical course is 30th september.
The deadline for applying to PGDM/PGCM programmes has been extended till August 11th. Previously, the deadline had been set for July 10. For the first and second sessions, the deadlines for admission to open and distance learning/online learning modes are September 10, 2021, and February 1, 2022, respectively.

The last day for existing students in PGDM/PGCM colleges to start classes is August 2, 2021. Institutions interested in offering ODL/online courses must apply for permission by July 15.
