Microsoft Names Aparna Gupta as Global Delivery Centre Leader

Microsoft made a significant announcement on Tuesday, unveiling Aparna Gupta as the newly appointed Global Delivery Center (GDC) leader within the Industry Solutions Delivery sector and the broader Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) organization.

Gupta’s role as GDC leader will involve spearheading customer innovation, ensuring delivery excellence, driving cloud growth through top-tier talent acquisition, nurturing industry depth, and fostering a robust partner ecosystem.

Expressing her anticipation for the new role, Gupta highlighted her eagerness to collaborate with GDC teams, focusing on enhancing technical proficiency across solution domains and cultivating a resilient team culture. Her aim is to elevate service quality and excellence for Microsoft’s clientele. She acknowledged the strong foundation laid by the existing team and aims to further fortify it to achieve new heights.

Her journey with Microsoft began six years ago as the India lead for Commercial Software Engineering (CSE), now recognized as ISE. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in driving impactful changes within the business, including the establishment of the Customer Success Unit (CSU) as a significant segment within MCAPS India.

Maureen Costello, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery, expressed confidence in Gupta’s leadership. With over 25 years of industry experience and extensive tenure at Microsoft, Costello expressed certainty in Gupta’s ability to guide the GDC team towards sustained success.

The Global Delivery Center (GDC), established in Hyderabad in 2005, serves as the delivery arm of Industry Solutions Delivery and has expanded its footprint to encompass Bengaluru and Noida, along with a global presence.

Gupta's mandate involves close collaboration with the team to continuously support customers in their digital transformation journey. Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasized Gupta's deep understanding of Microsoft technologies, highlighting her role in enabling customers to deploy forward-thinking solutions, particularly in the era of AI, and derive maximum value from their Microsoft investments.

The GDC encompasses four Centers of Excellence (CoE) specializing in Apps Innovation, Data & AI, Infra & Security, and Business Applications. Additionally, it manages functions related to Partner & Delivery Management and Adoption Management, reflecting its holistic approach to delivering comprehensive solutions.
