Net profit rose 19.4% to Rs 1,988 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year, against Rs 1,665 crore in the same quarter last year. This father figure goes on adding to the previous year's record for the two-wheeler giant. Revenue climbed up by 16% to Rs 11,932 crore on the back of excellent vehicle sales and record spares revenue.
Its domestic operations remained strong as the company logged in its ninth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Broad-based growth across motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and electric scooters, has set the tone for this growth, the company said in a press statement, pointing out the resilience and momentum of its domestic business.
“Domestic business maintained its momentum and resilience, registering its ninth successive quarter of double-digit growth on sustained broad-based growth across the motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and electric scooters portfolio,” the company said in a press statement.
Exports of Bajaj Auto, though decelerating a year ago, have recovered very strongly, especially in the African markets. This has come in really handy in contributing to overall sales volumes of the company, marking a promising trend for the Pune-based two-wheeler manufacturer.
