Tata Motors, an Indian leading automotive manufacturer, unveiled its latest SUV – Tata Curvv EV – for between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh. The Tata Curvv EV will be offered in two battery variants: a 40.5 kWh pack with a claimed range of 502 km, and a 55 kWh pack with 585 km; both ARAI-certified and MIDC Part 1. It has great acceleration; 0-100 km/h is attained in just 8.6 seconds.
Fast charging can afford a range of 150 km in just 15 minutes. Besides, the Tata Curvv EV will also come with drive modes—eco, city, and sport—along with multi-mode regen through paddle shifters. It has high ground clearance of 190 mm on the Curvv.ev 45 and 186 mm on the Curvv.ev 55.
The Tata Curvv EV also comes loaded with features inside, including a 31.24 cm Harman cinematic touchscreen, a 26.03 cm digital cockpit, and an immersive cinematic experience with arcade.ev and over 20 apps. In addition, it gets a JBL sound, advanced OTA updates, V2L and V2V as a standard, smartwatch connectivity, powered tailgate with gesture activation.
Add to this list such conveniences as automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, fully automatic climate control with express cooling, cruise control, keyless entry, and push-button start in this vehicle.
Curvv, Tata Motors will provide two petrol variants—the all-new Hyperion gasoline direct injection engine and the 1.2 L Revotron turbocharged petrol engine—while there will be only one diesel variant, powered by the 1.5 L Kryojet diesel engine. Either way, both engines will come with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Wednesday also saw the unveiling of the Hyperion Gasoline Direct Injection engine, Tata Motors' first indigenously developed GDi engine.
The trims of the Tata Curvv EV will be Smart, Pure, Creative, and Accomplished. It would be available in a palette that will have Gold Essence, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Flame Red, Pure Grey, and Opera Blue.
