New 2022 Maruti Baleno set for launch on 23rd February

In terms of its interior tweaks, the 2022 Baleno will come a newly modified dashboard which will boast a 9-inch SmartPlay PRO+ touchscreen infotainment unit, 360 degrees View camera an audio system by ARKAMYS as well as a Head Up Display (HUD) screen system. In terms of reinforcing safety of passengers, the 2022 Baleno will come with six airbags as well as an Electronic Stability Control.

The all-new 2022 Maruti Baleno is set for launch on 23rd February. The hatchback, which has been one of Maruti Suzuki’s premium selling models, will be made available to the Indian public with modified exteriors as well as interiors.

The 2022 Baleno will feature a wider radiator grill along with newly designed headlights with L-shaped LEDs on its either side. “Over the side, the car will get minor chrome treatment on the window lines. Also, there will be redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels for a fresher look. The rear end of the car will feature new LED wraparound taillights and the rear bumper will also be updated for a well-rounded look… there will be redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels for a fresher look,” as per HT auto report.

The car will also make rides comfortable as it will come with new climatic controllers.

The 2022 Maruti Baleno will operate on 5-speed manual transmission and will have a 1197 cc 1.2L petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki has already commence taking pre-launch orders from interested customers. This car will compete against similar models from rival companies such as Tata Altroz, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza and Honda Jazz. The price will be revealed on the date of the launch.

In a recent statement, Maruti Suzuki reported on 1st February that the company saw a 3.96 percent fall y-o-y in total wholesales for the month of January 2022. The company sold 1,54,379 cars in January 2022 as compared to 1,60,752 units sold in January 2021. “The shortage of electronic components had a minor impact on the production of vehicles which are primarily sold in domestic market. The company took all possible measures to minimise the impact,” the company had said in a statement.
