In February, we recorded SUV sales of 50,420, up 19 per cent and 83,702 overall vehicles, up 15 per cent. This performance is due to a sustained positive momentum for our SUV range," said Veejay Nakra, President, Mahindra's Automotive Division.
In the meanwhile, Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Segment (FES) announced tractor sales for the month. The domestic tractor sales increased to 23,880 units from 20,121 units in February 2024.
Overall tractor sales, both domestic and export, stood at 25,527 units, higher than 21,672 units last year. The firm also exported 1,647 tractors during the month.
Describing the performance, Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Sector, said, "We have retailed 23,880 tractors in the domestic market in February 2025, a growth of 19 per cent over last year."
After a good Kharif harvest, the Rabi crop prospects are also looking good, with good weather conditions.
"Agri credit limit increase, sustained Government initiatives to double farmer incomes and a record Rabi crop will drive tractor demand in the future. In the exports segment we have sold 1647 tractors, with growth of 6 per cent over the previous year," Sikka further added.
