KTM Launches Global-Spec 390 Enduro R in India at ₹3.54 Lakh

The first India-specific model continues to be offered on the official website of KTM, priced at ₹3.38 lakh (ex-showroom)—a gap of about ₹16,000. Even with the criticism, it is the sole dual-sport model from the brand in its segment in India.

KTM India formally launched the global-spec 390 Enduro R in the country at ₹3.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The introduction follows direct consumer pressure, after it released the toned-down version back in April 2025 to criticism for lacking the capability of the global model.

The first India-specific model continues to be offered on the official website of KTM, priced at ₹3.38 lakh (ex-showroom)—a gap of about ₹16,000. Even with the criticism, it is the sole dual-sport model from the brand in its segment in India. To recognize its singular status, KTM has officially called the new international model the "OG Off-road Icon".

The global-spec 390 Enduro R comes with considerable improvements. It has 230 mm of suspension travel at the front and rear, 272 mm of ground clearance, and a seat height of 890 mm. To compare, the India-specific variant has 200 mm front and 205 mm rear travel, 253 mm of ground clearance, and a lower seat height of 860 mm.

Furthermore, the global model features Metzeler Karoo tyres for outstanding off-road capability, whereas the home-market model is fitted with Mitas Enduro Trail tyres.

KTM had earlier justified its decision to alter the global version for Indian customers. The company noted that motorcycle ergonomics must take into consideration the typical rider profile by region. With European riders tending to be taller, a seat height of 890 mm is not particularly problematic. But in India, such height may appear daunting or inconvenient to most.

In order to bring the 390 Enduro R closer, KTM lowered the seat height, thus necessitating lowering suspension travel and ground clearance. They aimed at better comfort and control for a broader Indian consumer base.

Despite having two models available now, the 390 Enduro R is still a niche product, as it's the only such dual-sport bike offered by KTM in India. With the global-spec model introduced, choices are now available for adventure and trail-riding fanatics who want uncompromised performance directly from the international shelves.
