The second-generation Creta with major updates helped the South Korean automaker to dethrone newcomer Kia Seltos to regain its top spot in the midsize SUV segment. With a redesigned exterior and an all-new interior, the Creta managed to maintain a sizeable gap to the Seltos in the later stages of this year as well in terms of sales volumes.

Meanwhile, the new sub-four-metre sedan Aura replaced the Xcent with its introduction in January 2020 and has been a decent seller ever since. The other car introduced in the latter half of 2020, the new generation i20, which has already established its name in the automobile sector due to its resilience and power, has been on a good run as well.
