Three major wildfires raging in N.California

The Lava Fire in Siskiyou County, which started on June 24, has burned nearly 24,460 acres with 24 per cent contained as of Saturday, Xinhua news agency quoted the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) as saying. The Tennant Fire, which broke out on the eastern side of the Klamath National Forest on June 28, was around 10,012 acres.
Devastating 2020 US wildfire season to go down in history

In 2020, an astonishing 52,113 fires burned close to 9 million acres across the nation, and claimed 53 lives and destroyed 6,500 structures. It was a record-setting year for devastation in numerable categories, and overall acreage almost doubled the land burned in 2019.
