In addition to memos, presentations, notebooks, and other telling documents, the Uber leak includes "emails, iMessages and WhatsApp exchanges between the Silicon Valley giant’s most senior executives".
Uber brings back carpooling service under new name
The service is available in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, San Diego, Portland, Oregon, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh. Uber, Ola among most data hungry ride-hailing apps: Report
According to cyber-security company Surfshark's data sensitivity index, Uber is third on the list while Ola, the most popular ride-hailing app in India, comes sixth in the global data-hungriness ranking (with a total of 18 data points collected). Indian bike-taxi aggregator Rapido, however, collects the least amount of data in the ranking, said the report. It collects almost 10 times less data than the leading GrabTaxi app, and collects only its user's name, phone number and location to deliver its services.

Curiously, Uber has not removed the Uber Apple Watch app from the App Store, reports MacRumors. The app is still able to be downloaded and installed on an Apple Watch, but opening it up reveals a poorly-worded message about dropped support, ending with a sad face emoji. Uber has not updated its support site to reflect the change either, even though the app has been unavailable since around December 8, the report said.
