Musk gives ultimatum to Twitter staff to do 'extremely hardcore' work or leave

According to a copy of an email sent by Musk and seen by CNN, the new Twitter CEO said any employee who did not commit to the ultimatum by Thursday evening will receive three months' severance. "Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore," Musk wrote in the memo.
Twitter starts working on end-to-end encryption for direct messages

App researcher Jane Manchun Wong tweeted: "Twitter is bringing back end-to-end encrypted DMs." A picture of the code strings highlighting references to encryption keys was attached to Wong's post. Elon Musk replied to Wong's tweet with a winked emoji, which indicates that the feature is in development.

"Contractors aren't being notified at all, they're just losing access to Slack and email.
