According to a Bloomberg report, Joe Biden plans to host a meeting on Wednesday to discuss how companies are improving cybersecurity. "The executives could discuss efforts undertaken by critical infrastructure entities, including those in the banking, energy and water utility sectors, to improve cybersecurity and collaborations with the government," the report said on Tuesday.

Apple executives said that the revenue for the current fiscal fourth quarter will grow by double-digits but be below the 36.4 per cent growth rate in the just-ended third quarter, Gizmo China reported on Friday. They also added that while the impact of the chip shortage was less severe than feared in the third quarter, it will get worse in the fourth, extending to iPhone production.

In an earnings call after posting a new June quarter revenue record of $81.4 billion globally, up 36 per cent from last year, Cook said late on Tuesday that emerging markets like India has done extremely well. "We had an incredible quarter for the emerging markets in Q3. We set June quarter records in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Turkey, UAE, Poland, Czech Republic, India, obviously in China as I talked about before.

Cook said that the privacy changes in iOS 14 will continue to allow Facebook to track users across apps and websites as before if the social media company gets that permission of the users. "We believe users should have the choice over the data that is being collected about them and how it's used," Cook said in a tweet on Thursday night.

Third-party data from market research firm Canalys earlier reported that Apple shipped over 8 million units in the July-September period in the country, registering double-digit growth.
