The Family Leader Foundation has invited several presidential candidates to engage in a discussion that promises to be "moderated, friendly, and open."

The five candidates who received invitations to The Family Leader's "Thanksgiving Family Forum" on November 17 include former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott.

However, the third debate will not feature North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who met the criteria for the prior two debates, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, present in the initial debate but absent from the second one. In addition, former Vice President Mike Pence, who initially qualified for the first two debates, exited the Republican primary race last month.

Khanna took up Ramaswamy's offer of debate with "a smart Democrat who’s willing", and wrote to him on X: “The University of Chicago Institute of Politics wants to have a civil discourse with the two of us on race, identity, and the American dream".
