My father Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose fought selflessly for the freedom of India. He sacrificed and lost a lot - ultimately his life - in the pursuit of Indian independence. He was a shining example of dedication to the whole of India and all his countrymen and countrywomen.

Prime Minister Modi, who also gave the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskars, said that 'Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav' resolved that India will revive its identity and inspirations.

The Prime Minister also said that he will unveil the hologram statue on January 23 on the occasion of Bose's 125th birth anniversary. In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Modi made the announcement. PM said, "At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India's indebtedness to him."

Pfaff thanked the initiative by the Centre and the West Bengal government for celebrating the occasion throughout the year. The Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre also included her in the high-power committee on Netaji that will commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of the freedom legend.

PM Modi on Saturday visited Kolkata to pay tributes to Netaji and said the country bows to his love for the motherland. Modi said that Netaji would have been immensely proud to see how India is now manufacturing its own Covid-19 vaccines and also helping other countries across the world.

At Tripuri in March 1939, G B Pant moved a resolution asking Bose to appoint a Working Committee in line with Gandhi's ideas. Bose in a passionate presidential address on March 10, 1939, where very specifically focusing on the Princely States, his opinion coalesced with Nehru, stated, "But since Haripura much has happened.
