The film is a period drama, and will see Vicky essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder and the great warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The actress was paired opposite Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda in the film which was helmed by Parasuram. The song 'Inkem Inkem Kavale' from the film was a chartbuster.

Rashmika saw the movie with her rumoured beau Vijay Deverakonda and later took to the Stories section of her Instagram to share the review of the film.

She will reprise the role of Srivalli in the sequel. She shared a picture and captioned it: “#nightshoot" Rashmika has wrapped up shooting for her upcoming film ‘Animal’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor. The 'Pushpa' star, whose Hindi movie 'Mission Majnu' with Siddharth Malhotra is releasing soon, stated during the film's promotions that in Bollywood, romantic songs have a tradition, whereas in the south, there are only masala songs and item numbers.
