India smartphone market to reach 173 mn shipments in 2021
More than 100 million smartphones will be shipped in H2 2021 and 5G devices will make up 19 per cent of the overall market, according to Counterpoint Research's India handset quarterly outlook. The biggest factor pushing the market could be the launch of Reliance Jio's low-cost Android phone JioPhone Next in September, which will enable migration of feature phone users to smartphones.

itel set to launch reloaded all-rounder smartphone A48 in India

iQOO 8 likely to feature flat display, 120W fast charging: Report
According to GizmoChina, Vivo's sub-brand iQOO will unveil these smartphones on August 17. iQOO will ship the iQOO 8 with the Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, the more powerful version of the Snapdragon 888 that boasts higher CPU and GPU clock speeds, citing a leakster, the report said. Samsung made up a market share of 24 percent in the April-June period after shipping 12 million smartphones to Europe, down 7 percent from a year earlier, according to a report from market researcher Strategy Analytics. The South Korean tech giant was the only player among the top five smartphone suppliers in Europe to see an on-year decline in shipments.
