Aiwa unveils new range of smart TVs in India

The range extends from the fully-loaded 32-inch series to 43-inch (FHD and UHD), 50-inch (4K UHD), 55-inch (4K UHD) and 65-inch (4K UHD), and is priced from Rs 29,990 to Rs 139,990. OLED displays to account for 3% of TV panel market in 2021

Global TV panel shipment reached 135.2 million units in the first half of the year, up 3.5 percent from a year earlier, and high-end OLED TV panels accounted for about 2.6 percent of them, or 3.55 million pieces over the period, according to market researcher TrendForce. It predicted OLED TV panel shipment to further grow throughout the remainder of the year to reach 8 million pieces.
Over 665 mn homes own smart TVs globally: Report

The sales of Smart TVs grew by 7.4 per cent in 2020 to reach 186 million units, accounting for 79 per cent of all Flat Panel TVs sold, according to Strategy Analytics. Samsung was the leading Smart TV manufacturer in terms of annual sales units for the ninth straight year in 2020 while TCL climbed above LG and into second place for the first time.
