Equity market flat amid volatility, weak global cues
A weak trend in the global markets also weighed on the domestic investor sentiments, analysts said. Heavy selling pressure was witnessed in oil and gas and power stocks, while realty stocks witnessed high buying activity. Around 10.25 a.m., Sensex was trading at 52,911.55, higher by 50.37 points or 0.10 per cent from its previous close of 52,861.18.
Sensex reclaims 53,000, hits new record high
Heavy buying activity was witnessed in banking and financial stocks. Around 2.15 p.m., Sensex was trading at 53,116.73, higher by 236.73 points or 0.45 per cent from its previous close of 52,880.00. It opened at 52,874.85 and has so far recorded an intra-day low of 52,805.88 points. The Nifty50 was trading at 15,897.10, higher by 62.75 points or 0.4 per cent from its previous close.
Equity indices trade marginally higher after opening flat
Around 10.15 a.m., Sensex was trading at 52,940.22, higher by 60.22 points or 0.11 per cent from its previous close of 52,880.00. It opened at 52,874.85 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 52,984.71 and a low of 52,805.88 points. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 15,865.20, higher by 30.85 points or 0.19 per cent from its previous close.

It opened at 52,682.89 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 52,814.28 and a low of 52,604.35 points. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 15,814.25, higher by 92.05 points or 0.59 per cent from its previous close.
IT, FMCG stocks pull indices lower
Around 10.40 a.m., Sensex was at 52,203.55, lower by 115.05 points or 0.22 per cent from its previous close of 52,318.60. It opened at 52,434.55 and has so far touched an intra-day high of 52,436.83 and a low of 52,192.86 points. The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was at 15,642.70, lower by 37.30 points or 0.24 per cent from its previous close.
Indian equities subdued amid weak global cues
Around 10.10 a.m., the BSE Sensex was trading at 52,473.25, lower by 9.46 points or 0.02 per cent from its previous close of 52,482.71. Analysts are of the view that the global markets are eyeing the release of the US jobs data for June. The data would be crucial for the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy decision.
Sensex up 200 points; IT, metal stocks rise
The domestic market traded in tandem with its Asian peers. Further healthy buying in the IT and metal stocks supported the indices. Around 10.15 a.m., Sensex was trading at 52,752.58, higher by 202.92 points or 0.39 per cent from its previous close of 52,549.66. It opened at 52,651.09 and has so far recorded an intraday high of 52,764.28 and a low of 52,630.91 points.
Sensex reverses gains after touching fresh high
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange also hit a fresh all-time high of 15,915.65 points. Healthy buying was witnessed in metal stocks while IT stocks slumped. Around 10.25 a.m., Nifty was trading at 15,858.00, lower by just 2.35 points or 0.01 per cent from its previous close.
Sensex sheds initial gains to trade flat
The Indian stock market shed its initial gains on Friday morning to trade on flat-to-negative note. Healthy buying was witnessed in metal and auto stocks. However, oil and gas stocks were under heavy selling pressure. Around 10.06 a.m., Sensex was trading at 52,635.33, lower by 63.67 points or 0.12 per cent from its previous close of 52,699.00 points.

The key Indian equity indices traded in the positive territory on Thursday morning with the BSE Sensex rising over 200 points. IT stocks witnessed healthy buying so far, while heavy selling in oil and gas and power stocks capped the gains. Around 10.07 a.m., Sensex was trading at 52,517.27, higher by 211.19 points or 0.40 per cent from its previous close of 52,306.08.
